Accessibility
What we have done so this website works for patients with low vision, limited dexterity, or a device that reads pages aloud — and what we have not done yet.
What this site does
Text never drops below 16px
A large share of our patients are elderly. Body text starts at 16 pixels on a phone and 17 on a larger screen, and the whole page scales if you increase the text size in your browser or phone settings.
It respects "reduce motion"
If you have turned on the reduce-motion setting in Windows, Android, iOS or macOS, this site stops moving. Panels and cards appear in place instead of sliding, and background animation stops. Nothing is hidden as a result — only the movement goes.
Everything works from the keyboard
You can reach every link, button and form field with the Tab key, and whatever you land on is outlined clearly. A "Skip to main content" link appears when you first press Tab, so you do not have to walk through the navigation on every page.
Tap targets are at least 44 pixels
Buttons and links are sized so they can be hit with a thumb, one-handed, without magnifying the page.
Hindi and English, everywhere
Every page, notice and form on this site exists in both languages. The switch is in the header and your choice is remembered. Hindi is set in a Devanagari face with extra line spacing so it stays comfortable to read.
It prints properly
OPD timings and your appointment slip are laid out for paper as well as screen, because many patients prefer to carry a printed copy.
Known gaps
- Doctor photographs come from the hospital management system. Where a doctor has no photograph the site shows their initials instead, which screen readers skip as decoration — the name is always read out beside it.
- The map on the contact page is embedded from Google Maps and we do not control its accessibility. The full address, landmarks and a written description of the building are given alongside it in text, so you never need the map to find us.
- We have not yet had this site tested by an independent accessibility auditor, and we have not tested it with every screen reader.
If something here does not work for you
Please tell us, and in the meantime let us do it for you over the phone — reception can book an appointment, give you a doctor’s timings, or read out a report status just as easily as this website can. Call 011-27317402, or ask at the reception desk.
